Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of AI Notetaker (“the Service”). By creating an account or uploading audio you agree to them.

1. The Service

AI Notetaker transcribes audio you provide and generates summaries, action items, and structured notes from the transcript using third-party AI models (currently Groq Whisper for transcription and Anthropic Claude for note generation). See the Privacy Policy for the full list of processors and what we keep.

2. Your responsibilities

  • You must have the legal right to record and process the audio you upload. Recording consent laws vary by jurisdiction — comply with the laws that apply to you and to everyone in the recording.
  • Do not upload content that is illegal, infringes others’ rights, contains malware, or is intended to harass or harm.
  • One account per person. Don’t share credentials. Don’t resell access.
  • Don’t try to bypass quotas, rate limits, or billing — those exist so we can afford to keep the lights on.

3. AI output

Notes, summaries, and action items are generated by language models. They can be wrong, incomplete, or fabricate facts. Review them before relying on, sharing, or acting on the contents — especially for anything legal, medical, financial, or otherwise consequential. Outputs are not professional advice.

4. Plans, billing, and refunds

  • Free and Pro tiers are described on the Plans page.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal linked from the Plans page.
  • Cancellation stops the next renewal — Pro features remain active until the current billing period ends.
  • We don’t generally offer refunds for partial periods. If something has gone obviously wrong, email support@ainotetaker.zladson.com and we’ll sort it out.

5. Account ownership

You own the audio you upload and the notes generated from it. We hold a limited license to process and store that content solely so we can deliver the Service to you. We do not use your audio, transcripts, or notes to train any AI model.

6. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime SLA on the Free tier. Features may change, ship, or be removed; major user-facing changes are announced in the in-app “What’s new” modal.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing support. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — particularly the recording-consent and no-illegal-content rules — with notice when reasonably possible.

8. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be announced in the in-app “What’s new” modal. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date above tracks every revision.
